Introducing Our New Author

Hsain Warour (12/10/1941), known as the Author tailor, was born to a peasant family in the countryside of Damascus. After completing his primary education, he moved to Damascus in 1952 at the age of twelve to learn the profession of tailoring under the Armenian tailor Wahram Shahbandrian in the Al-Khaja Market.

Okba Zeidan, born in 1967 in Syria, is a prolific writer, translator (from Russian and English), and journalist. He is an active member of the Syrian Journalists’ Union and has significantly contributed to the country's cultural and intellectual life.

Dr. Salma Jamil Haddad is a Syrian academic, researcher, poet, novelist, and lexicographer. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Damascus and both her Master’s and Ph.D. in Translation from Heriot-Watt University in the United Kingdom.
